In this, my first positive post in quite some time, I'm going to talk about my crazy old obsession with music. You might have noticed that all of my entries so far, including this, have had some connection to music - be it a song title or a lyric from a song. Music is a very important part of my life and my iPod (Touch) is NEVER away from my side. The raw emotion that I felt on the day I lost my iPod, 2 and a half years ago at the cinema, was the worst pain possible. No word of a lie, it was like losing a limb. At that moment I knew what Heath Ledger felt like at the end of Brokeback Mountain when he was talking to Jake Gyll-blah-blah-blah-haal's coat. Shear pain.
Annnnnnnnnnyway, I've often found that music has been there for me, through both good times and bad. But enough about that - just in case you were wondering what songs I've been alluding to so far in this blog, they are....
"Let the rain fall down, I'm coming clean..." - Come Clean by Hilary Duff
"Everybody's changing and I don't feel the same" - Everybody's Changing by Keane
"It's sad, so sad, it's a sad, sad situation..." - Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word by Elton John
"You got the swagger of a champion" - Womanizer by Britney Spears
"Music Gets the Best of Me" - Music Gets the Best of Me by Sophie Ellis-Bextor
But this has to be my all-time favourite song. Listen to the lyrics and you'll know why...
It's Billy Joel with
