I Think You're Really Mean

Have you ever felt used? By a friend, that is. Well, I use the word "friend" with extreme caution. My dictionary defines "friend" as "a person you know well and regard with affection and trust".

But where you are concerned, dear, that ain't even close.

Through thinking over the past few days, maybe weeks or months, I've come to realise that lots of people are like this. I'm that seat on the bus - sure it's comfy, but it's next to the window that lets a draft in and it has a rotten banana skin underneath it. You wait till somebody gets off at their stop so that you can move onto the comfier seat. It's not next to the window, is clean and is surrounded by plenty of other nice seats.

You're here now, but I know you're just waiting to change seats....

And where is the affection and trust between a mouldy seat and an anxious passenger?
